Players tap the cubelets to dig through the surface of each layer and reveal the next layer below. The goal is to reach the centre and to discover what is inside the cube.

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen Initial Impressions

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen comes out this week, April 26th, for Xbox 360 and PS3 and comes with vast array of brand new content.

This game is perfect for both people that are new to the series, and have yet to try out the original Dragon's Dogma, and people that are returning to extend their story, and gameplay experience.

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen comes with the original game, so people that are new can begin right at the start, as well as a range of new skills for each of the professions, over 100 new pieces of armour and weapons, 14 new pawn/character augments, and on top of that there is an HD Texture pack and a full Japanese voice-over that can be installed. Not forgetting the entirely new zone, Bitterblack Isle, that players have to explore.

In short, this game is packed full of content, and is much more than your average DLC expansion. Ideal for both newcomers and returning fans, this is certainly a game worth picking up.

For the complete breakdown, check out the video down below:

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen - HD Texture Pack Comparison

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen comes with a second disc, and on that disc is not only a complete Japanese voice-over track, but there is also an HD Texture pack. The HD Texture pack does a good job in improving a lot of the bland, blurry and quite washed out textures from the original game, and helps breathe life back into this new expansions.

For a side-by-side comparison of the game with, and without the texture pack, check out the video below:

Bioshock Infinite: All Vigors Gameplay

Bioshock Infinite attempts to add some variety to your every day FPS gameplay with the introduction of Vigors, which are this games equivalent to Plasmids from the previous iterations.

Vigors are effectively super powers that allow the user to turn the tide in battle, and take control of a situation that would otherwise overwhelm them. There are a total of 8 different Vigors, each of which have two functions - a quick use function (at the press of a button), and a trap function (by holding the button).

For a complete look at all 8 Vigors, check out the video below:

Arekkz Gaming: Bioshock Infinite Review

Bioshock Infinite - quite possibly one of the biggest games this year. After the long development cycle, the game finally sees the light of day - the question is, does it live up to the hype?

The game is breathtaking to behold, and a welcome change from the sea of brown that most shooters have adopted this generation. Some really inventive gameplay mechanics, and characters that are not only believable, but engaging, make this one game you cannot afford to miss.

Gears of War Judgement - New Weapons

Gears of War Judgement introduces a variety of new weapons for the player to take advantage of, each with its own unique playstyle.

Markza: This is a semi-automatic sniper rifle with a scope that allows the player to fire rapidly, with precision. The Markza isn't as powerful as the COG Longshot, however the trade-off is the speed as which it can unload rounds.

Breechshot: This is a Locust sniper rifle, with a twist - it has no scope. Fans of no-scope headshots will like this one, simply because the only way to use it, is like a regular gun given the lack of scope. It fires faster than the Longshot, but not quite as fast as the Markza - it pauses momentarily between each shot.

Booshka: This is a grenade launcher with the added ability to bounce the rounds off walls. The player can use this to shoot at enemies hiding round corners if they can plan out the correct trajectory.

Stim-Gas Grenades: These new grenades allow the player to heal themselves, and their team mates by simply throwing a grenade at their feet.

Spot Grenade: This grenade can be used to scan the area for enemies that might be hiding around the corner.

For complete coverage on the new weapons, and a chance to see them in action, check out the video below:

Gears of War Judgement Review

Gears of War Judgement, the latest instalment in the popular franchise, launches around the world this week - in America on Tuesday the 19th, and Europe on Friday 22nd.

Judgement is set years before the events of the original "Gears of War" trilogy, and centres on Kilo Squad, a troop of soldiers led by Damon Baird and Augustus 'Cole Train' Cole. They are joined by newcomers to the "Gears" series, Sofia Hendrick and Garron Paduk, as they attempt to save the besieged city of Halvo Bay from a terrifying new enemy.

Throughout the game the player takes control of all 4 of the team members as each of them tells their part of the story. This fits perfectly into the way the new game is broken up - Judgement has a more Arcade-like feel to it, with each story arc being broken up into small sub-sections, or areas, and the player is ranked at the end of each of these areas.

For the full review, and a glimpse into some of the aweomse new features that await you in the new Gears of War Judgement, check out the full video review below:

Mass Effect 3 in Dead Space 3

Dead Space 3 came out this week (Tuesday in America, today in the UK), and with that comes the return of the much anticipated survival horror series. Dead Space 3 pits player character Isaac Clarke against the Necromorphs, human corpses reanimated by the signal of an alien artefact known as the Marker.

As an additional bonus, for people that played Mass Effect 3, and have a save file on their system, a special N7 Suit is awarded to the player at the start of the game. Once the player gets to the point in the game when they can change suits, they can then equip this, and represent Mass Effect in the appropriate Black and Red colour scheme.
